Overview

Families, groups, and friends can stay at this beautifully restored CA. bungalow in the heart of Lodi and wine country. Antiques are found throughout the home, a craftsman-style bungalow built in 1922 with hardwood floors, wood paneling, and over 2600 sq. ft. of space.

The house includes 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a spacious front room, a formal dining room with a built-in leaded glass sideboard, a family/game room, a den/office, an atrium, and a reading nook. Its kitchen has been fully remodeled with granite counters while retaining the remarkable 1926 Frigidaire ice box, which is ideal for storing wine.

Camellias surround the sunny kitchen and dining area outdoors, with many of the home’s distinctive windows nearby. These windows bring abundant natural light inside and frame views of the tree-lined neighborhood and the park across the street. Guests can settle into the comfortable reading nook or spend time in the private atrium filled with plants.

A large fenced backyard includes a patio suited to morning coffee or a group barbeque. The patio table seats 8, and additional wicker furniture plus a picnic table with benches accommodate larger gatherings.

Across the street, Merlot Bungalow faces a popular kids' park. Downtown Lodi is 2 blocks away, with wine-tasting rooms, restaurants, art galleries, shopping, and theaters. Lodi also provides access to over 80 wineries offering award-winning wines for wine-tasting.

Hutchins Street Square, a venue for many events and weddings, is within walking distance. Other nearby destinations include Lodi Lake and the nature center, which feature a beautiful park, picnic area, and water activities. Historic Micke's Grove is also close, with a history museum, zoo, golf, and Japanese Tea Garden. North of Lodi are the skydiving center, airport, and restaurant. Historic Woodbridge is just west of Lodi and Lodi Lake.
