About Scotto Cellars

For over 140 years, Scotto Cellars has carried forward the Scotto family's Italian winemaking heritage. The story began in 1883 on the island of Ischia, Italy, where Salvatore Dominic Scotto produced wine for those closest to him and the surrounding community. That spirit remains part of Scotto Cellars today.

Across more than five generations, the family has continued its winemaking journey across continents. Dominic Scotto brought the tradition to Brooklyn after immigrating in 1903, and later generations developed the operation from homemade family wines into a respected wine company. When the family relocated to California in 1963, Scotto Cellars broadened its portfolio while staying focused on approachable, food-friendly wines.

Now managed and owned by the fifth generation, Scotto Cellars combines longstanding winemaking principles with contemporary vineyard and production methods. The family selects quality fruit from carefully chosen vineyards and makes balanced wines intended for sharing around the table with family and friends.
