Overview

The Lucas Winery produces vineyard-designated Zinfandels from the historic ZinStar Vineyard. This 3.5-acre block contains head-trained, own-rooted Zinfandel vines originally planted in 1933. The estate also encompasses the sustainably farmed Nova and Olive Tree vineyards.

The winery’s highlights include:

Traditional Winemaking

Each wine is handcrafted through time-honored methods. Select wines spend 12 to 16 months aging in French oak barrels inside the winery’s Grand Chai, a specialized barrel room built to preserve ideal aging conditions. Multiple barrel coopers are chosen with care to bring out the individual qualities of every vintage.
