Event Overview

The holiday season begins in Lodi on Thursday, December 3, with the Lodi Parade of Lights. This much-loved tradition brings nearly 30,000 spectators downtown each year for an evening filled with illuminated displays, music, and community spirit.

More than 80 glowing floats, marching bands, dance groups, and themed vehicles will travel the route, decorated with thousands of sparkling lights. Santa Claus will make a festive entrance from a Lodi fire truck to close out the evening.

Moving through the center of downtown Lodi, the parade highlights the city’s holiday atmosphere and small-town character. Guests are encouraged to arrive ahead of time to find a viewing place, as local residents often place chairs along the route days beforehand. Parking becomes limited quickly, so carpooling is recommended.

Families, friends, locals, and visitors are all welcome to enjoy one of Lodi’s most popular annual traditions and begin the holiday season in California’s wine country.
